Armed Security Officers Day Shifts Peninsula Area

Sentry Force Security is seeking reliable and experienced Armed Security Officers to become an integral part of our team. The selected individuals will patrol and secure their assigned premises and identify risks to staff and patrons. Candidates must have their own vehicle and be able to work in Gloucester, Hampton, Newport News, and Williamsburg. Immediate full‑time positions are available. The pay rate is $18.00 – $20.00 per hour.

Must be available in the following cities:

• Williamsburg
• Newport News
• Hampton

• Monday – Friday (0730‑1730)
• Saturday (0730‑1300)
• We do not work Sundays or Holidays

• Be pleasant, courteous, and tactful
• Conduct yourself appropriately while on duty
• Hold the door if in a position to do so
• Direct customers to the appropriate line for appointments or walk‑ins
• Attempt to verbally diffuse situations
• Be positioned in the lobby where you can best observe the customers and aid when necessary
• Shall raise the US and Commonwealth flags prior to opening and take them down after closing
• Make sure visitors sign in and escort them to the staff member they are there to see
• Defer to management when calling 911, unless it is an emergency; then immediately notify management and the Sentry Force Project Manager
• Unlock doors at opening and lock doors at closing in coordination with management
• Ensure the back door to the supply room is locked at closing
• Submit all incident reports to the Project Manager within 2 hours of the incident occurring
• Maintain a D.A.R and send it to the Project Manager at the end of every shift
• Shall complete an incident report for all incidents
• Refer to SOPs for any additional guidance

• Must have an active DCJS Armed Registration
• Must have reliable transportation
• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or other related fields
• Familiarity with security equipment
• Ability to handle a physical workload
• Strong attention to detail

Job Types: Full‑time, Part‑time

Compensation: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
