About the Role

The Rigger is responsible for operating the majority of cranes, forklifts, and shipyard tugboats throughout the shipyard. Riggers lift, manipulate, and set components—ranging from pipes and valves to large machinery—by calculating weight, center of gravity, lift capacity, and gear angles. They erect, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding, purchase and maintain tools, and install ventilation equipment to prevent hazardous atmospheres on ships.

Must Have
  • Work at extreme heights or small confined spaces
  • Perform kneeling, squatting, crawling, bending, stooping, and climbing
  • Lift 40 lbs and pass a respirator fit test
  • Work indoors/outdoors year‑round in all weather conditions
  • Work assigned shift as production needs
  • Pass Physical Agility Test
