Purpose of the PositionReporting to the Director of Buildings Operations, this position will provide direction for all maintenance (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC) for the Ferguson Center of the Arts, Yoder Barn and Ferguson Parking Deck. The selected candidate will determine daily housekeeping, maintenance and repair needs for all building areas and will be available in an on‑call capacity as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Manage and troubleshoot repairs and maintenance tasks in electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, fire systems and theatrical systems.
- Communicate effectively with others.
- Instruct and inspect housekeeping/maintenance work; schedule daily tasks.
- Lead housekeeping/maintenance staff across the Ferguson Center, Yoder Barn and Ferguson Parking Deck.
- Read and understand building drawings, specifications and operation manuals.
- Plan, layout and estimate labor and material for projects.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Work a flexible schedule including on‑call rotating schedule.
Education Required
- High school graduate or equivalent education/experience equating to a high school diploma.
- Valid driver’s license.
Experience Required
- Experience performing building maintenance.
- Experience supervising employees.
Additional Consideration
Education Preferred

- Experience working in a college/university or convocation center setting.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
Starting at $54,827, Commensurate with Education and Experience
Conditions of Employment- This is a classified position. New and returning classified employees must complete a 12‑month probationary period.
- Selected candidate must attend a 2‑day New Employee Orientation Program.
- Must work a flexible schedule including on‑call rotating schedule.
