Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 2 for a contract/hybrid opportunity in Newport News, VA.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience.
- Master's Degree and 0 years of experience.
- 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
- 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
- A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
- Required to know Software Life Cycle Development.
- Ability to test and peer review code.
- Knowledge of several programming languages, including Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C#, .Net.
Design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software. Set operational specifications, and formulate and analyze software requirements. May design embedded systems software.
REQUIRED EDUCATION- Bachelor's degree is required.
- School must be accredited.
5/40 workweek. First Shift 7:30AM-4:00 PM. Hybrid position.
