Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, commentary and reporting packs for senior management and Group. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate balance sheet reconciliations and high-quality financial reporting. Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP (FRS 102), ensuring compliance with all reporting requirements. Manage the consolidation of group entities, maintaining the integrity of financial data and reporting across the business.
Act as the key finance contact for the annual external audit, coordinating deliverables and resolving audit queries efficiently. Provide technical accounting expertise, maintaining accounting policies and supporting the implementation of new accounting standards where required. Support corporation tax, VAT and transfer pricing activities, working closely with external advisors to ensure compliance. Identify and implement improvements to financial reporting, controls and processes, leveraging tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL and finance systems to enhance automation and reporting capability.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen financial governance, reporting quality and data integrity. Skills, Requirements, Qualifications ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong technical accounting background, ideally gained within practice. Proven experience preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102, leading audit processes and managing group consolidations. Strong understanding of technical accounting standards, financial controls and corporate reporting. Advanced Excel skills Excellent analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
Experience with in a multinational environment and exposure to corporation tax or transfer pricing would be advantageous. A proactive, hands-on individual who takes ownership, enjoys improving processes and works collaboratively across finance and the wider business.
