Accounting Services Manager

Job Title Accounting Services Manager Location Manchester Salary £55,000 - £65,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ACA or ACCA qualified Accounting Services Manager to join a Big 4 firm based in Manchester, with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality accounting and advisory solutions to a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to move into a varied client-facing role, working with businesses ranging from ambitious SMEs through to large multinational organisations.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering outsourced accounting services, statutory reporting and technical accounting support, while also managing and developing a team. What you will be doing as an Accounting Services Manager Managing the preparation and review of statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS. Delivering outsourced accounting services to a broad range of clients.

Preparing and reviewing management accounts and bookkeeping assignments. Supporting clients through secondment assignments, providing experienced finance professionals where additional resource is required. Managing the delivery of statutory financial reporting for international groups with UK reporting requirements. Advising clients on statutory accounting compliance and financial reporting obligations. Identifying opportunities to improve clients' financial reporting processes and statutory reporting cycles. Building and maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring work is delivered to a consistently high standard.

Supervising, coaching and developing junior members of the team. What you will need to succeed as an Accounting Services Manager ACA or ACCA qualification (or an international equivalent). Previous experience gained within an accountancy practice or professional services environment. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and IFRS, with an understanding of financial reporting principles. Exposure to US GAAP would be advantageous but is not essential.

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve technical accounting issues. Strong Excel skills, with experience using a variety of accounting software packages being beneficial. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Previous experience managing, mentoring and developing team members. The ability to manage multiple client assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Why join this firm?
