You'll work alongside experienced finance professionals in a role that gives you exposure across tax, payroll, controls and statutory reporting. As Finance Assistant, Tax & Controls, you'll have the scope to build your expertise while making a practical difference to how finance processes are managed and improved. How you'll make an impact Support corporation tax, VAT and wider tax compliance across the organisation.
Maintain tax and statutory compliance schedules, keeping deadlines on track. Prepare accurate reconciliations, schedules and supporting documentation. Coordinate payroll inputs, outputs, payroll tax and related financial controls. Support PAYE, employee tax, benefits reporting and PSA processes. Strengthen internal controls through clear documentation, testing and follow-up. Support statutory reporting and external audit requirements. Review accounting and reconciliations across international operations. Improve and simplify tax, payroll and control processes.
Why you're a great fit You'll have relevant experience across finance, accounting, tax, payroll, controls or audit, with a strong eye for detail and confidence working with financial data. You may be studying towards ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ATT or an equivalent qualification. You'll bring developing knowledge of UK tax compliance, strong Excel skills and the confidence to work with finance, payroll or ERP systems.
You'll also be organised, comfortable managing deadlines and willing to raise issues when something does not look right.
