ALN Teaching Assistant

Supply Team are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work within the ALN Provision of a Secondary School in Newport.

The school are interested in candidates who have experience in dealing with children who have additional learning needs. A qualification is not essential however, this role will require you to have gained experience in a similar environment; whether that be within Education, Social Care, Youth Leadership, Sports Coaching – or something similar.

What you can expect in the role of a Teaching Assistant:

* To work under the guidance of the ALNCO, in supporting the pupils;

* Assisting with the preparation of the Provision at the start of each day, as well as tidying/collecting workbooks etc at the end;

* Helping with groups;

* Working on a one-to-one basis where required;

* Attendance of school trips, when required;

* Being aware of child protection and safeguarding protocols;

* Carry out general administrative duties, as directed;
