Pay: £92.95 per day (dependent on experience could increase)

Are you passionate about supporting children in the classroom and helping them reach their full potential? We're looking for a dedicated Learning Assistant to join a friendly, welcoming school in Newport. Whether you're experienced in education or coming from a care, youth work or support background, we'd love to hear from you.

• Providing 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils who need an extra helping hand
• Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and classroom preparation
• Supporting pupils with ALN/SEMH needs where required
• Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting independence
• Helping create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment

• Someone patient, nurturing and proactive
• Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults (school or care background welcomed!)
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to build positive relationships
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils' wellbeing and progress
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
