About Greenfields School
Greenfields School is a specialist independent school catering for up to 30 pupils aged 9 to 18 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. ResponsibilitiesAs part of the Senior Management Team, you will participate in the planning and implementation of policies, practice, and working procedures. Your core purpose will include:
- Formulating the aims and objectives of the school and establishing policies, practices, and structures.
- Managing staff and resources to achieve the vision and objectives of the school and monitoring progress towards each.
- Leading the successful and continual delivery and development of the school's educational services, monitoring performance in line with Estyn expectations and current best practices set out by Welsh Government guidance and legislation.
- Being the senior leader responsible for the quality of education, teaching and learning, and curriculum development.
- Creating effective positive and proactive working relationships amongst staff groups, within education, students, parents/carers, external stakeholders, and professional practitioners.
- Enhancing educational standards by developing and implementing an aspirational and engaging curriculum across year groups, strengthening abilities and ambitions of students, and preparing each child for a successful transition to adulthood.
- Setting high expectations for student outcomes and promoting an inclusive and forward‑thinking approach to lifelong learning with an emphasis on quality of teaching and learning and the progress of each student.
- QTS or other relevant teacher qualifications.
- Senior leadership experience at Assistant Head level or above.
