The Role

Are you an experienced Multi-Trades specialist looking to move into Further Education, or an established Multi-Trades Lecturer looking for your next opportunity?

Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across Newport to recruit experienced Multi-Trades specialists and lecturers.

You don't necessarily need to have worked as a Lecturer previously. If you have strong practical industry experience, relevant qualifications and the ability to support and inspire learners, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering practical and theory-based Multi-Trades sessions
  • Demonstrating professional techniques and safe working practices
  • Supporting learners to develop practical trade skills
  • Preparing learners for vocational qualifications and employment
  • Assessing practical work and monitoring learner progress
  • Providing constructive feedback and supporting individual development
  • Supporting learners with SEN/ALN and differing learning needs
  • Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement
What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade or Multi-Trades discipline
  • Strong practical experience across multiple construction/trade areas
  • Current knowledge of industry standards and safe working practices
  • Ability to demonstrate practical skills and engage learners
  • Experience working with apprentices, trainees or learners is desirable
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Teaching or training experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience supporting learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
