The Role

Are you an experienced Childcare specialist looking to move into Further Education, or an established Childcare Lecturer looking for your next opportunity? Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across Newport to recruit experienced Childcare specialists and lecturers. You don't necessarily need to have worked as a Lecturer previously. If you have strong professional experience, relevant qualifications and the ability to support and inspire learners, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

You may be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging Childcare and Early Years sessions
  • Supporting learners working towards vocational qualifications
  • Teaching child development, safeguarding and early years practice
  • Connecting theory with real-world childcare practice
  • Assessing learner work and monitoring progress
  • Supporting learners to develop their professional skills and confidence
  • Preparing learners for employment, apprenticeships or further study
  • Supporting learners with SEN/ALN
  • Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement
What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or a relevant discipline
  • Strong professional experience within Childcare/Early Years
  • Good knowledge of safeguarding, child development and current practice
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners
  • Experience supporting learners, apprentices or trainees is desirable
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Teaching or training experience is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working with learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
