The Role

Are you an experienced Multi-Trade professional looking to move into Further Education, or an established Lecturer looking for your next opportunity?

Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across South Wales to recruit experienced Lecturers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your industry knowledge and expertise to support the next generation of learners, helping students develop practical skills, achieve qualifications and progress into employment or further study.

Working within a Construction department, you will:

  • Deliver engaging teaching and learning across Multi-Trades programmes
  • Deliver practical workshop sessions covering a range of construction trades
  • Develop learners' practical skills in line with industry standards
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support learners working towards vocational qualifications
  • Prepare learners for employment, apprenticeships or further study
  • Support learners with SEN/ALN or behavioural needs where required
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
What We're Looking For
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant trade or multi-trade discipline
  • Strong practical industry experience across construction trades
  • Experience supporting apprentices, trainees or learners is desirable
  • Strong practical and theoretical knowledge
  • Ability to demonstrate safe working practices
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Teaching/training qualification is desirable, with support potentially available
  • Experience working with learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
