The RoleAre you an experienced Construction specialist looking to move into Further Education, or an established Construction Lecturer looking for your next opportunity?
Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across Newport to recruit experienced Construction specialists and lecturers.
You don't necessarily need to have worked as a Lecturer previously. If you have strong industry experience, relevant qualifications and the ability to support and inspire learners, we'd love to hear from you.
You could be supporting learners across a range of construction programmes, helping them develop practical skills, technical knowledge and industry awareness.
The RoleYou may be responsible for:
- Delivering engaging theory and practical Construction sessions
- Supporting learners working towards vocational qualifications
- Sharing current industry practices, techniques and standards
- Demonstrating safe working practices and professional expectations
- Assessing learner work, progress and achievement
- Developing learners' practical skills and confidence
- Supporting learners with progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study
- Supporting learners with SEN/ALN where required
- Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement
- Level 3+ qualification in Construction or a relevant trade
- Strong industry experience within Construction
- Up-to-date knowledge of construction practices, regulations and standards
- Strong practical and theoretical knowledge
- Ability to demonstrate skills and engage learners
- Experience supporting apprentices, trainees or learners is desirable
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A teaching or training qualification is desirable but not essential
- Experience working with learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
