Full time - Monday to Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Our client, a Welsh-medium secondary school in Newport, Gwent, is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (CALU) to join their vibrant team. Key Responsibilities- Supporting the language development of learners within the immersion centre, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Implementing literacy intervention plans across the school to enhance learners’ reading and writing skills.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing tailored support to individual and groups of students.
- Contributing to the school’s ethos of high expectations and fostering a positive, respectful learning environment.
- An NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
- Experience working in an educational setting, preferably supporting language development or literacy.
- Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and a Full UK Driving Licence (if required for the role).
