Are you a passionate and creative English Teacher with the ability to inspire students through both English and Performing Arts?

Aspire People are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Newport to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated English specialist who can also teach Performing Arts. This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start, offering an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school community and make a lasting impact on learners across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The school is seeking an engaging practitioner who can deliver high-quality English lessons while also contributing to the Performing Arts curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile teacher looking for a stable, long-term role within a well-established department.

• Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Delivering Performing Arts lessons as part of the wider curriculum
• Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons that motivate and challenge learners
• Assessing and monitoring student progress in line with school policies
• Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support student achievement and wellbeing

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have recent experience teaching English within a UK secondary school
• Be confident delivering Performing Arts lessons
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Be passionate about raising attainment and inspiring young people
• Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
