Aspire People are looking for an experienced Mathematics Lecturer to deliver GCSE Mathematics, Essential Skills Application of Number and Agored qualifications to post-16 learners in Newport.
This is an opportunity for a passionate Maths teacher or lecturer who can support a diverse range of young people and adults to achieve their qualifications and progress towards further education or employment.
The Role- Deliver engaging GCSE Mathematics and Skills sessions
- Teach Essential Skills Application of Number and Agored qualifications
- Support post-16 learners with different abilities and learning needs
- Prepare learners for assessments and monitor their progress
- Build positive relationships with learners and colleagues
- Work collaboratively with curriculum staff to support learner outcomes
- Honours degree in Mathematics or a related subject
- A Level Mathematics at grade A-C
- PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent teaching qualification, or willingness to achieve one
- Strong Maths subject knowledge
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
- Strong understanding of assessment and learner progress
- EWC registration or willingness to obtain
- Enhanced DBS for Children
- Basic Welsh language skills desirable, or willingness to undertake training
