Up to £90,000 + Comprehensive Package
Are you a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong industrial experience Do you want to work on high-profile, new build industrial developments with a contractor that is a recognised leader in the logistics and warehouse sector across the UK
We’re representing a well-established, fast-growing main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex industrial and distribution schemes nationwide. With a strong pipeline of secured work in South Wales, they are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on new build industrial projects in Newport.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for the full commercial lifecycle of large-scale industrial builds — from pre-construction through to final account — working closely with operational teams and clients to ensure successful financial delivery.
Projects typically include:
Large distribution centres
Logistics hubs
Manufacturing and warehouse facilities
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial management of new build industrial projects
Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
Cost planning, forecasting, and reporting
Preparation and agreement of valuations and final accounts
Contract administration (primarily JCT)
Risk management and value engineering
Mentoring junior members of the commercial team
About You
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor environment
Strong background delivering new build industrial / logistics projects
Excellent contractual knowledge (JCT essential)
Commercially driven with strong negotiation skills
Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Able to manage projects independently and liaise confidently with clients
