This thriving South Wales business is looking to further strengthen their existing design function, following the acquisition of a number of lucrative new contracts. Part of a larger European group, the company has an enviable reputation for design excellence and is the supplier of choice for customer applications across the globe. They have a very strong order book and have contracts being confirmed with a number of new customers to further strengthen their market presence.

Your responsibilities will be predominantly Design focussed but will be varied, to include:

o Design:
Using Inventor to design electro / mechanical components for a variety of industry sectors, supporting the development of new products and producing customer designs as required.
o Lead or participate in cost reduction activities and new tooling developments
o Maintain the existing drawing library and update it as necessary, whilst managing drawing control in line with ISO
9001.
o Customers:
Provide technical support and guidance to the customer throughout the Project lifecycle.
o Assist with product range management, customer facing CAD models and marketing material.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

o Qualified in Mechanical Engineering
o Experienced in the use of a 3D design package
o At least 2 years experience in the design of Mechanical components
o Excellent problem solving and strong customer skills
