We are looking for an experienced environmental professional to join our Capital Delivery Enabling Services team. You'll bring knowledge and experience across a range of environmental disciplines, including environmental permitting, working with regulatory authorities and biodiversity enhancement initiatives. You'll be able to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within regulatory and project timescales.
Key ResponsibilitiesCan you provide leadership and guidance to a team to achieve goals? In this role you will:
- Lead a team of project coordinators
- Assess project needs, define scope
- Manage project construction and deliver and commission projects
- Comply with health and safety requirements to ensure all projects comply with CDM regulations
- Fulfil the role of Project Manager as defined in NEC
- Work collaboratively with internal customers, Alliance partners and suppliers
- Liaise with cost managers on spend profile
- Produce monthly reports on progress
- Professional qualification educated to Degree level, or equivalent relevant qualification and experience.
- Extensive experience of managing ecology, environmental and biodiversity matters, acting as a technical expert as part of a large team or similar environment in the delivery of high-value capital solutions.
- Experience and understanding of ecology, environmental and biodiversity processes and procedures, and Health and Safety legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Committed to putting our customers first every day.
- Detailed knowledge of ecology, environmental and biodiversity matters within the water industry.
- Strong decision-making skills, with an awareness of wider business issues and corporate policies, and the ability to deliver cost-effective solutions within target timescales.
- High-level analytical skills to support effective scoping, optioneering and delivery of solutions to operational challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaborative working skills.
- Ability to work effectively to challenging regulatory and project deadlines.
