Location: Medical Unit, Asda Newport Superstore, Pencarn Way, Duffryn, Newport, NP10 8XN

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour (PAYE)

Start Date: 31 July 2026

Hours: 12 hours per week

Shift: 18:00-20:00

Working Days: Monday to Friday and Sunday

Contract Type: Temporary

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to work at a medical unit located within Asda Newport Superstore in Duffryn, Newport.

This role involves maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic environment to a high standard. You will work independently for 2 hours per day, six days per week.

Key Responsibilities

General cleaning of the medical unit
Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
Cleaning treatment rooms, staff areas and communal areas
Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables
Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely
Following all health and safety and infection control procedures
Reporting any maintenance or safety concerns

Candidate Requirements

Previous commercial cleaning experience is preferred
Experience cleaning healthcare or medical environments is advantageous
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
Excellent attention to detail
Available to start on 31 July 2026
Able to work Monday to Friday and Sunday
