• Lead the Quality Assurance department, developing and implementing comprehensive quality management systems that align with company objectives and industry standards.
• Establish and maintain quality metrics to monitor product performance and ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, to integrate quality assurance processes into all stages of product development.
• Conduct regular audits of processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality protocols.
• Develop and execute training programs for staff to enhance their understanding of quality assurance practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee the investigation of product non-conformances, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries from customers and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely and effective communication.
• Prepare and present quality assurance reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for strategic focus.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring that the company's quality assurance practices remain compliant and competitive.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and proactive problem-solving within the quality assurance team.
• Lead initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Mentor and develop team members, promoting professional growth and ensuring a high level of expertise within the quality assurance function.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing quality improvement initiatives that have resulted in measurable outcomes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.

• Experience in the defense or tactical gear industry is a plus.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with advanced quality tools and methodologies, such as FMEA, SPC, and root cause analysis.

• Proficiency in quality management software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools to oversee quality initiatives effectively.
• Ability to utilize statistical analysis software for quality data interpretation.

• This position is based in Newport, Vermont, a location known for its beautiful landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities.
