Summary
A full-time, permanent Floating Support Worker, working across our Support Accommodation sites in Newport. You will be required to work day shifts Monday – Friday, although flexibility is required.

AboutThe Role
This is a Floating Support Officer role delivering support across our Supported accommodation service, in Newport.
You will work with talented and experienced people who have a passion for supporting individuals experiencing challenging times whilst homeless. No two days are the same and it’s especially rewarding when you are a part of an individual’s development and growth.
Your Day With Consist Of- Conducting needs assessments and person centred support plans
- Provide practical and emotional support to the individuals you support
- Provide support around housing challenges, mental health issues, substance misuse issues and other complex needs.
- Assisting with sustaining and securing suitable accommodation
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
- Developing your networking skills by working in partnership with external agencies
- Monitoring the safety of the shared accommodation sites including maintenance, Fire safety and daily checks
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sites
- Previous experience in a similar role
- A passion and commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals and promoting independence and wellbeing
- Organisation and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A non-judgmental and empathetic approach
- It is essential that the successful candidate has a drivers licence and access to a car.
