About The Role
George Street is an 8-bed supported accommodation service for young people aged 16–18 who are leaving care. The service supports young people to develop their independence, build life skills and prepare for a successful transition into adulthood.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in working with young people and would like to develop their experience within Leaving Care Services.
Key Responsibilities- Support young people to develop their independence and confidence.
- Provide person-centred support around education, employment, wellbeing and life skills.
- Develop positive relationships and encourage young people to achieve their goals.
- Work alongside colleagues and partner agencies to provide effective support.
- Gain experience of working within a specialist leaving care service.
Relevant work experience and knowledge of issues relating to vulnerable people is essential.
For the role it is essential to hold a UK Driving Licence & access to a vehicle.

- An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
- Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
