South Wales | Contract until end of March 2027 initially | Pay rate up to £35.32 per hour | Hybrid working (initial 6 month contract).
Role DescriptionA South Wales based Youth Offending Service whose principal aim is the prevention of anti-social behavior, offending and re-offending by children and young people is looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join them for an initial 6 month contract. This role will offer hybrid working.
As part of the Youth Offending Service you will provide a range of integrated services and interventions to young people and their families. This will include providing support to young people in the Criminal Justice System who display challenging, anti-social and offending behaviour. Experience of working with young people and of multi-agency working is essential. Candidates to this post will also be required to hold a recognised social work qualification (DIPSW, CQSW, CSS etc.)
or probation qualification. This post is based in an experienced service, which offers excellent support and supervision and professional development opportunities. You will be expected to cover across two local authorities.
- A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
- A relevant Social Work Qualification
- Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
- 3 Years of referencing
- Driving licence with access to a car
- Experience of working with young people and of multi-agency working is essential
- Candidates to this post will also be required to hold a recognised social work qualification (DIPSW, CQSW, CSS etc.) or probation qualification
