Our client is a leading specialist transport and logistics business providing heavy haulage, lifting support and equipment transport services to the construction, infrastructure and industrial sectors across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit experienced  HGV Class 1 Drivers  to join their professional transport team.
This  HGV Class 1 Driver  role is based in  Newport . Drivers can expect regular trunking, general haulage and barrier movements using a modern fleet of well-maintained vehicles. Shifts are available Monday to Sunday, with average shift lengths of around 10 hours. Day shifts typically start between  05:00hrs and 06:00hrs , while night shifts generally begin at  17:00hrs . The client values reliable drivers and regularly rebooks those who perform well, providing excellent opportunities for ongoing work.

Rather than rolling your holiday pay into every hourly rate, your holiday entitlement builds up as you work and is ready to be paid when you book time off. To be successful in this HGV Class 1 Driver role in Newport, you will need:
UK Category C+E Licence
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Valid Driver CPC Card
Minimum  6 month's HGV Class 1 driving experience
No more than  6 penalty points
A professional, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
Good understanding of driver hours, tachograph regulations and vehicle safety checks

Rates for an HGV Class 1 Driver:
Day shifts are starts between 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs
Night shifts are starts between 18:00hrs and 06:00hrs
Monday to Friday (Days) = £17.00ph (+£2.05ph holiday accrued)
Monday to Friday (Nights) = £18.00ph (+£2.17ph holiday accrued)
Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays (days or nights) = £21.00ph
