Pure Staff's Driving Team are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Avonmouth, Bristol for consistent ongoing work with one of the UK's largest and longest-established logistics businesses, completing trunking and retail store deliveries for a major national retail customer. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 Drivers looking for a strong weekday rate, afternoon starts and consistent work without the need for handball.

The operation offers plenty of different start times each day between 12:00 noon and 16:00
, making this particularly suitable for drivers who prefer afternoon work rather than early-morning starts. The regular working pattern is Monday to Friday
, with occasional Saturday shifts available on an optional basis for drivers who want additional work.

• £21.57 per hour (with holiday pay rolled up) or £19.25 per hour (if you opt for holiday accrual which is paid when you book time off)
• If you opt for holiday pay accrued separately it's worth an additional £2.32 per hour

• £23.53 per hour (with holiday pay rolled up) or £21.00 per hour (if you opt for holiday accrual which is paid when you book time off)
• If you opt for holiday pay accrued separately it's worth an additional £2.53 per hour

You'll be completing a mixture of HGV Class 1 trunking and retail store deliveries from the customer's Avonmouth operation. Typical duties include:

• Afternoon starts between 12:00 and 16:00
• Shifts averaging approximately 10 hours
• HGV Class 1 trunking
• Retail store deliveries
• No handball
• Strapping and securing loads
• Completing thorough vehicle and load checks
• Ensuring trailers and loads are correctly contained before leaving site
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Following Drivers' Hours, Working Time and site procedures

You'll be working with a major UK logistics business with a history stretching back more 100 years
