How You Make a DifferenceThe Licensed Mental Health Professional (Master’s) at Arizona Department of Corrections (ARDOC) provides evidence‑based mental health services, including screening, diagnostic evaluations, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct intake evaluations, assessments, and triage for patients referred by security, healthcare staff, and community sources, and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Deliver psycho educational groups, substance abuse counseling, transitional groups, and crisis intervention; develop treatment plans and conduct suicide risk assessments.
- Oversee clinical needs of the caseload, provide consultation on behaviors and safety concerns, and facilitate discharge planning.
- Collaborate with all staff, provide training on mental health topics, document findings in the patient’s health record, and adhere to facility and company policies.
- Participate in peer review, staff training, and the interview shadow process; lead training and performance evaluations of direct reports.
Up to $7,500 bonus available.
Qualifications & Requirements Education- Master’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or a related field.
- One or more years of experience in a mental health treatment program, preferably in a correctional or hospital setting.
- Licensed or license‑eligible as a Master’s Social Worker or Counselor.
