SBS Student Assistant

Base pay: $10.25/hr – $10.25/hr

Hours:

10–15 hours per week, primarily during business hours Monday–Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for special events.

Location:

Northern Kentucky University, Highland Heights campus (MP – Math, Education and Psychology).

School‑Based Scholars (SBS) is a dual‑enrollment program offered by Northern Kentucky University for eligible high‑school students. SBS students have the opportunity to take college classes for dual credit at a reduced tuition rate. We serve public, private and homeschool students from the Northern Kentucky region and beyond. Our students can take classes at their high school (if offered), online, and/or at our Highland Heights campus.

Position Summary:

This position serves an important role on the School‑Based Scholars team, directly supporting SBS efforts and initiatives.

• Answer calls and respond to emails
• File, copy, and type documents
• Create and manage social media posts
• Assist with program events
• Run errands on campus
• Database entry
• Assist with special projects
• Assist with processing applications, permit requests, and registrations
• Other duties as assigned

• Ability to multitask
• Strong writing skills
• Ability to think critically and analytically
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Work efficiently and effectively, independently and as part of a team
• Positive attitude
• GPA 2.5 or above
• Customer service oriented
• Dual credit experience preferred
