Process Control Engineer – Darling Ingredients
This position will provide total support for all operational control technologies used for plant process controls.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Essential Duties / Responsibilities- Installation of electrical hardware/software and wiring of selected devices in accordance with state and local codes.
- Electrical start‑ups of new, used, or modified equipment and generation or modification of operating instructions related to electrical items.
- Aiding and assisting in the layout design, construction, and troubleshooting of electrical components.
- Programming and installation of PLCs and drawing ladder logic diagrams to match.
- Procurement and supervision of sub‑contractors hired for construction of electrical items such as conduit or other electrical service.
- Developing and instituting a program to assure that electrical schematics and drawings are kept up to date and current.
- Providing support for all current operating control technology and being available for potential service‑type issues.
- Developing and maintaining an archive system for all written and future control programming organized by plant, type and date.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 5 years proven experience in control and automation field.
- Demonstrable experience in industrial environments.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Experience with Rockwell Automation PLC/SCADA and Rockwell Plant Pax System.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Leadership ability and ability to direct personnel.
- Minimum supervision, making timely, accurate judgments regarding production and process quality.
- Highly organized with superior time management skills.
- Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
- Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 100 lbs.
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.
Job functions will be carried out in a plant environment requiring tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures, as well as an office environment. Job requires travel up to 40% of time, with potential weekend and holiday work.
Preferred LocationsCarolina's, Georgia, Virginia, Tennessee, or Maryland.
