Disability Support Service Assistant KY College Coach EngageKY

The Disability Support Service Assistant will play a key role in ensuring that Engage KY programs and initiatives are accessible, inclusive, and supportive of individuals with disabilities. This position will focus on compliance, training, and resource coordination to strengthen organizational capacity and promote equitable participation for all.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accessibility Coordination:
  Ensure programs, events, and materials meet ADA standards and accessibility best practices. Coordinate accommodations for participants, staff, and volunteers as needed.
• Resource Development:
  Identify, develop, and share resources that support disability inclusion. Maintain updated information on accommodations, assistive technologies, and community partners.
• Training & Capacity Building:
  Design and deliver training sessions for staff and partners on disability awareness, inclusive practices, and compliance. Provide ongoing technical assistance and guidance.
• Case Coordination:
  Serve as a point of contact for individuals seeking disability-related supports, ensuring timely response and connection to appropriate resources.
• Collaboration & Advocacy:
  Work with schools, employers, and community organizations to expand opportunities and remove barriers for individuals with disabilities.
• Data & Reporting:
  Track and report on disability support requests, accommodations provided, and impact metrics to inform continuous improvement.

• Committed to full-time service through Ameri Corps

Minimum Education:

Associate Degree.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's Degree.

Minimum Experience:

Less than 1 year. Salary: $1,810.00 per month housing allowance.
