Job Description: Effective February 1, 2026, the Oregon Judicial Department will implement a cost-of-living salary increase of 2.5%.

Benefits to You- We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full‑time employees, including mental health coverage.

- In this job profile, we offer candidates new to OJD up to the second step of the salary range, depending on experience. You are potentially eligible for a 5% annual increase.
The Lincoln County Circuit Court in Newport, Oregon, is hiring an Application Contribution Program/Indigent Defense Clerk (Court Operations Specialist) to join our team.
In this role, you will spend much of your day interviewing applicants to determine their eligibility for indigent defense services. You will collect information about households, verify employment status, and review financial information such as income and debts. You will determine whether applicants are eligible for court‑appointed attorneys, prepare eligibility paperwork, and schedule court interpreters as needed. You may be required to appear at contested court hearings about eligibility for indigent defense services.
Additionally, you will provide coverage at the front counter and for the jury coordinator. This work includes answering phones, filling in as a cashier, making copiesิโ, and checking in jurors.
You will spend part of your time collecting archived files from a nearby warehouse.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.
