Testing Required:
- On-Site Role: Must be available to work on-site at this location.
- Emergency Response: Must be available to support DTE’s emergency response efforts.
Job Summary: Design, develop, and implement training programs using the Systematic Approach to Training. Ensure training materials lead to performance improvement, and mentor students in initial and ongoing training programs. Collaborate with the organization to address performance needs.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct training per procedures and industry best practices.
- Develop visual aids, courseware, lesson plans, and evaluation tools.
- Incorporate nuclear and industrial operating experience into training.
- Maintain accreditation for training programs.
- Gather and respond to feedback to improve training quality.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust accordingly.
- Promote safety, safety culture, and professional conduct.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Nuclear Operations Instructor: High School diploma or GED + 5 years experience;
Associate degree + 3 years;
Bachelor’s degree + 1 year. Experience must be in Nuclear Operations.
Senior Nuclear Operations Instructor: High School + 7 years;
Associate + 5 years;
Bachelor’s + 3 years. Must hold or have held a Senior Reactor Operator License or similar.
Principal Nuclear Operations Instructor: High School + 9 years;
Associate + 7 years;
Bachelor’s + 5 years, including experience with nuclear training programs and systematic training approaches. Experience in nuclear operations or as a licensed operator is required. License or certification as a reactor operator or senior reactor operator is necessary.
