In December 2024, United Engineers and Constructors was acquired by Aecon Group Inc. Aecon and United have a proven working relationship and the United team continues to operate in the market as an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Supervising Engineer with experience supporting Power Generation and Heavy Industrial Projects in either our Mt. Laurel, NJ or Charlotte, NC offices. Responsibilities include managing electrical project activities from conception through construction including supporting electrical site work. The successful applicant can look forward to projects including simple and combined cycle powerplants, nuclear projects, and plant retrofits throughout the United States that require all facets of electrical engineering and design.
The successful candidate will lead a team of electrical engineers supporting our growing work for the Conventional Generation and heavy industrial projects. Work entails managing, scope, schedule, budget and approval of design documents
What You’ll Do Here:- Create equipment specifications, data sheets, calculations, and analysis as required to support the design and configuration control process.
- Create equipment specifications including transformers, switch gear, MCCs, and UPS/DC.
- Work on calculations including electrical studies including short circuit, voltage drop, coordination and arc flash studies using OTI-ETAP software.
- Prepare electrical design documents including single-line diagrams and panel schedules, schematic and wiring diagrams, electrical physical and raceway drawings, lighting and grounding plans, and cable schedules.
- Supervisory responsibilities include review of proposals, schedules and budgets; monitoring and reporting budget and schedule performance; and providing technical leadership to engineers and designers for the electrical discipline.
