Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC (ATS) is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support Tactical System Integration and Management on our Newport, RI team supporting the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) designing, constructing, and delivering the next generation of undersea warfare Training Systems to the Fleet. Focus will be on Integration Task Management and Linux System/Network integration of both submarine tactical systems and training simulation infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

The responsibilities for this position are to manage Integration Agile Kan Ban task boards for multiple trainer baselines as well as support design, development, installation, and integration of submarine training systems. Qualified applicants will perform the following tasks:
* Work with System Integration Team and Project Leadership to identify and break down system requirements and tasks to support multiple Agile teams. Identify and improve processes to provide efficiencies throughout trainer development lifecycle.
* Work with integration team at multiple levels to support installation, configuration, test, and maintenance of operating systems, system services, application software and system management tools for Linux and Windows based systems, both natively and within virtual machines
* Monitor and test application performance to identify issues with installation and performance and to identify possible solutions and work with developers to implement fixes.
* Troubleshoot Information Technology (IT) Systems to diagnose and suggest/implement potential solutions.
* Support physical software and hardware installation of IT computing equipment and cabling at both local and remote sites. Other Requirements: US Citizenship required for this Position:
