SEACORP's Tactical Solutions Business Area is currently seeking a Submarine ITS-N Systems Engineer. A Systems Engineer, also known as lead systems analyst, a network engineer who can also program, or a software engineer who can also manage networks, is an IT professional who oversees the creation of hybrid software, web and hardware products from initial specifications to final roll-out and maintenance.
These products are often sophisticated systems that run on the web.
Job
Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible to integrate various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices.
- Managing the development cycle associated with producing a resilient software, hardware and web application, including specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance.
- Setting up and managing Cisco network switches to meet specific network requirements. Includes setting management IP and default gateway, configuring VLANs and adding access ports.
- Supporting onboard installations to include running hardware/software checks and migrating data from legacy systems onto the new system.
- Conducting tests of CANES baseline systems and software.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline.
Experience:
1 year of relevant experience and Submarine ITS-N experience is required.
Ideal
Skills and Experience:
- Experience with TCP/IP and common protocols.
- Experience in building a server to include BIOS and RAID configuration.
- Experience with VMware ESX and vSphere.
- Experience with using Command Line and running scripts in Powershell and Putty.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.
