Smiles Van Driver - Dental Center; per-diem

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a Dental Van Driver (part-time/per-diem) for our 19 Broadway location in Newport, RI
.

Make a difference in the lives of patients and children! The EBCAP Van Driver is responsible for providing customer satisfaction through on-time, accurate delivery of the Smiles Mobile Dental van to designated locations within the East Bay region of RI, promoting EBCAP's objectives of empowering children to practice good oral health.

• Operate and safely drive the Smiles Dental van (approximately 8 feet long) within the East Bay region of RI.
• Perform daily set-up of the Smiles Dental van at scheduled locations, including safety set‑up, equipment preparation, cleaning, and restocking.
• Provide effective customer service as the first point‑of‑contact to dental partners, event coordinators, volunteers, and the public.
• Deliver and pick up registration packet/forms to and from each school location.
• Accurately complete and maintain all DOT and company documents, such as vehicle logs, as required by law and company practice.
• Communicate with EBCAP Dental Site Manager or designee to gain scheduling information, review event requirements, and record results.

• Minimum of two (2) years of professional driving experience in a delivery vehicle at least 8 feet in length (e.g., bus or delivery vehicle).
• Physical ability to drive, lift, bend, pull, push, and stand for vehicle setup, including up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Strong customer‑service skills and a willingness to support the EBCAP mission.
