Engineering Technician

GVI, Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking Engineering Technicians to effectively and efficiently support our customer in Newport, RI.

• Perform mechanical/electrical repair and troubleshooting
• Provide equipment maintenance (routine, preventive, corrective) and repairs and support facilities testing and upkeep

• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of Secret Security Clearance; candidates currently possessing an active Secret clearance are preferred.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools, basic test equipment
• Experience on electrical/mechanical repairs and troubleshooting.
  
  Prior experience with Navy systems desired but not required.
• Ability read and interpret technical drawings, and diagrams
• Familiarity with computer use and ability to create basic reports using MS word
• Must have avalid U.S. driver's license.
• Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written), and excellent customer service skill

Strong preference will be given to those candidates with experience with the navy Towed Array Handling Systems
