Salary Range: $28.00 To $30.00 Hourly

CONSTRUCTION PROJECT SPECIALIST

As an experienced Construction Project Specialist with a strong carpentry and renovation background, you’ll lead apartment renovations and specialized property improvement projects at our communities located in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. From kitchen and bathroom upgrades to full-unit remodels, you’ll be delivering quality craftsmanship that keeps the property looking its best.

This is a hands-on, trade-heavy role where your skills show. As a Renovation Technician & Project Specialist, renovations and special projects are the core of your work: you’ll work hand-in-hand with our on-site management team to scope the job, estimate materials, and see each unit renovation and property improvement project through from start to finish – on schedule, on budget, and to Landings’ quality standards.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead full and partial apartment renovations, including kitchen and bath upgrades, cabinet and counter top replacement, flooring, tiling, fixtures, lighting, and finish carpentry.
  • Coordinate with vendors and on-site managers to order materials and make sure all work meets Landings’ quality standards and applicable codes.
  • Perform final quality inspections and punch-list work so renovated units are move-in ready.
  • Keep management informed with regular project updates on progress, costs, and anything that affects the timeline.
  • Take on additional renovation, capital improvement, and special projects across our communities as business priorities evolve.

WHAT YOU BRING

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade schooling a plus
  • Proficient in operating hand tools and power tools
  • Positive attitude, organized and energetic
  • Strong customer service orientation and solid interpersonal skills
  • Ability to read and follow instructions and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in residential or commercial renovation, remodeling or general contracting
  • Experience as superintendent or foreman for construction projects
  • Solid carpentry skills - framing, finishing, cabinetry, drywall, or comparable work
  • Hands‑on apartment renovation or remodeling experience – kitchens, baths, flooring, and full‑unit upgrades
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once, estimate materials, and work to schedules and budgets
  • Ability to read and interpret basic plans, specifications, and scopes of work
  • Experience coordinating vendors or subcontractors is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, crouching, and working in all weather conditions.

WHAT YOU GET

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage
  • Company‑paid Life, AD&D, and Long‑Term Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) with a generous 5% company match
  • Profit sharing
  • Paid Time Off and paid holidays
  • Supplemental Critical Illness Insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
