Software Engineer I

SEACORP is seeking a well‑qualified Software Engineer I. This entry‑level role requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. The position is based in Middletown, RI.

• Assist in requirements gathering, design, development, and testing of key features for the USS‑DSW, including development of new work products or enhancement of existing applications and systems.
• Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.
• Work on projects with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
• Participate in daily stand‑ups, two‑to‑three‑week sprints, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
• Involved in both front‑end and back‑end development.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics with a concentration in Computer Science.
• Preferred knowledge of C++, Java, Python, Atlassian Tool Suite, Linux.
• Strong ability to work in fast‑paced environments, collaborate, handle independent tasks, and learn new technologies quickly.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Secret

Office and computer laboratories. Requires sitting, standing, extended periods using a mouse and keyboard, and frequent computer screen use. Infrequent lifting of up to 40 lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Consistent environmental conditions with seasonal temperature and lighting variations.
