Description
Leidos National Security group is seeking a Material Handler to support logistics operations of the Navy Array Technical Support Center (NATSC), Newport RI, by performing physical tasks related to the handling of incoming and outgoing material.
Primary Responsibilities- Loading and unloading of vehicles (where applicable).
- Unpacking freight and placing received material in proper storage locations.
- Moving or relocating material using pallet jacks or carts.
- Scrapping or cutting excess material and maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse and production floor.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience supporting warehousing activities.
- Previous experience reading or interpreting warehouse storage plans (preferred).
- Experience operating standard office equipment (phones, computer, fax, copiers).
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
- Must hold Interim Secret clearance to start the program and obtain final Secret clearance to remain on the program.
- Previous experience supporting warehousing activities.
- Previous experience reading or interpreting warehouse storage plans.
- Experience operating standard office equipment (phones, computer, fax, copiers).
- Recent experience at NATSC Newport as a Material Handling Laborer or equivalent.
This role is covered by the Service Contract Act. The position will pay $18.02 per hour with benefits or $22.95 per hour without benefits, up to 40 hours per week.
