• Patient triage: weight, blood pressure, temperature readings, updating medication list and documenting chief complaint.
• Electronic patient prescription services: communication with pharmacies and verification of all medical prescriptions.
• EMR knowledge.
• Phlebotomy and EKG procedures.
• Pre-certification requirements for all procedures.
• Call patients regarding lab results.
• Maintain daily logs.
• Answer questions regarding patient appointments and testing.
• Educate patients regarding procedure preps.
• Schedule procedures, tests, and referral appointments, coordinating/rescheduling as necessary.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information in medical records.
• Assist other staff as directed.

• Knowledge of nursing principles, medication naming, prescribing.
• Knowledge of infection control, environmental safety, patient confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
• Knowledge of medical chart reporting and records.
• Attend meetings as required.
