Job Summary

  • Follow all applicable laws and regulations, including the Helen Ross McNabb Centers Code of Conduct and Policies and Procedures, in order to create and maintain a healthcare and business environment that is committed to integrity and ethical conduct.
  • Provide linkage, referral, resources and supportive counseling to flood survivors in Cocke and surrounding counties.
  • Clinician provides weekly individual and family psychotherapy to children and adults, who have been impacted by the recent natural disaster.
  • Clinician will ensure compliance with productivity standards.
  • Position will be responsible for seeing clients for weekly sessions, providing follow up phone calls when clients cancel or miss scheduled appointments, and provide support staff with information for appointment reminder calls.
  • Clinician is to provide psychosocial assessments for clients and provide diagnosis and appropriate referrals for clients assessed.
  • Clinician will discuss options/goals for clients receiving services.
  • Clinician provides crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
  • Clinician embraces the key values of clinical services: empowerment, normalization, rehabilitation, and continuity of care.

Job Standards

  • Identify and meet with flood survivors to provide resources, referrals and general assistance, as needed.
  • Complete and forward to Supervisor all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Provide therapy to flood survivors, as well as crisis de-escalation as necessary
  • Meet productivity standards set by the program
  • Attend community meetings regarding disaster relief
  • Collaborate with other agencies in the East Tennessee area
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule, which may include evening and weekend hours
  • Proactively find individuals/families who have been directly impacted by disaster
  • Complete and turn in all mileage reimbursement claims (when appropriate) to Supervisor at least monthly.
  • Work a minimum of 40 hours a week
  • Provide a minimum of 128 therapy sessions a month
  • Connect with flood survivors in a positive manner and listen and respond with respect
  • Work within a team environment. Employ good communication skills (listening, reflecting, role model, etc.).
  • Report and share information with Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provides individual/family psychotherapy for children and adults.

  • Clinician is present and ready to begin sessions at the appointment time, every session.
  • Clinician calls to reschedule any sessions that he/she will be unable to attend or that the consumer missed/cancelled, 100% of the time.

2. Provides diagnostic psychosocial assessments/intakes.

  • Clinician completes intakes and assessments within 5 business days of contact.
  • Assessments will be completed in coordination with Client Benefits staff & other members of the Integrated Services Team, as evidenced by communicating any issues concerning clients or the assessment.

3. Completes all documentation in compliance with HRMC, CARF & program standards.

  • Clinician completes weekly progress notes within allotted period (5 business days).
