Pharmacy Clerk

Job Summary

Assist pharmacy staff in triaging prescriptions, delivering filled prescriptions to patients, and performing cashier duties. Works under direct supervision of a pharmacist and follows standard procedures.

• Triage incoming prescriptions.
• Verify and gather patient information, including name, address, phone, DOB, allergies, chronic conditions, special cap requests, and insurance details.
• Assess workload, establish pickup time, and queue prescription for processing.
• Deliver prescriptions to patients, obtain signatures.
• Perform cash register duties within the Pharmacy Department.
• Provide quality customer service to all customers.
• Maintain a professional environment through housekeeping duties; replenish vials, dispensing containers, labels, and computer paper.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
• Stay current with state and federal employment requirements.
• Perform store clerk duties as needed.
• Complete mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum:
  High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED.
• Preferred: AS Degree or higher.

• Preferred:
  Hospital or retail pharmacy experience.

• Drug test.
• Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring.
• Any additional eligibility requirements for the specific position.

$15.50 - 16.00 an hour. Final offer determined after careful consideration of skills, experience, and education.
