Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at a nursing home in Newport, VT on a 9-week contract. This overnight role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality patient care in a supportive, long-term care environment.
Key Responsibilities:Provide direct patient care, including assessment, medication administration, and documentation.
Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to the healthcare team.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to develop and implement care plans.
Ensure compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
Support residents’ safety, comfort, and overall well-being during overnight hours.
Qualifications:Active RN license in the state of Vermont (or compact license eligible).
Previous experience in a long-term care or nursing home setting preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team during overnight shifts.
