American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg/PCU night shift position requiring a VT or compact license and charge nurse capability.

• Critical access hospital setting with 25 beds
• Combined Med/Surg, PCU, and Telemetry patient population
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7a, including every other weekend
• Floating required to other units such as ED and MCH as needed
• 13-week assignment

• Active VT or compact RN license required upon acceptance
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must be able to work independently and perform charge nurse duties

• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg, PCU, and Telemetry units
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities as needed
• Facility located in a small town near the Canadian border with limited public transportation, so personal transportation is strongly recommended
• Area offers outdoor recreational activities such as hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling
• Required to attend department quarterly education sessions
• Supportive team environment to assist with transition
