Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and organised Receptionist to join our team in the vibrant hospitality sector in Newquay. This permanent, full‑time role is essential for ensuring a warm welcome for our guests and providing exceptional customer service. As the first point of contact, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience and supporting the smooth operation of our establishment.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Manage incoming calls and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Handle reservations and check‑in/check‑out processes efficiently.
• Maintain the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
• Provide information about local attractions, services, and amenities to guests.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints and feedback with professionalism and care.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient in using office software and telephone systems.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
