THE EMPLOYER IS: MJM MARINEAs a Business Systems Coordinator, you will join the Digital Transformation team to support the delivery of business systems, data quality, and digital processes across the organisation. This role provides an excellent entry point for someone with an interest in finance, numbers, maths, or digital this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting system users, updating key business data, helping with reporting tasks, and contributing to ongoing digital transformation projects.
You will also assist with documentation, training materials, and general project coordination to help business units achieve their departmental objectives.
MJM Marine is a progressive, flexible and rapidly growing specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor. The business has built a reputation for excellence and innovation by delivering major marine projects for local and global clients and due to significant growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Business Systems Coordinator to join the team at our Newry Office.
Successful applicants can participate in education, training as is necessary, to enable them to carry out their role and to support the company’s objectives.
- Assist in documenting business processes and creating simple workflow diagrams.
- Support data updates, data checks, and maintaining key system records.
- Help with basic reporting tasks including updating spreadsheets and logs.
- Assist Business Systems Analysts with user queries and helpdesk tickets.
- Liaise with team members and system users to collect information needed for improvements.
- Contribute to project documentation using Word, Excel, and other digital tools.
- Support testing activities when new features or enhancements are being deployed.
- Help prepare training materials and contribute to simple user guides.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, taking notes, and tracking project actions.
- Maintain organised documentation libraries, shared folders, and registers.
- Support activities that ensure data integrity and accuracy in business systems.
- Assist with coordinating application updates and preparing supporting notes.
- Work positively with the team to introduce innovative ideas and support change.
- Other duties commensurate with the job title as directed by Management.
- A good GCSE grade (A-C or equivalent) in Maths or a numerate subject such as Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, or Economics.
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- An interest in numbers, finance, data, or problem solving.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A Level Maths or a related numerate subject (Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Excel or handling numerical information.
- Interest in digital systems, business administration, or analytics.
- Any previous experience in an office, customer service, or administrative role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to modern technologies and processes.
