Are you an organised and proactive individual with a passion for supporting educational environments? Academics are currently recruiting a reliable and experienced Part-Time School Admin to join a dynamic primary school based in Bishop's Stortford. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of a thriving school community, starting in September 2025.

The Role:

As a School Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective day-to-day operation of the school's front office and administrative systems. This position is ideal for someone with previous administrative experience, particularly in a school setting, who is looking for a part-time opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide front-of-house support, acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff. Answer phone calls and emails, responding to enquiries promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate school records including attendance, pupil data, and safeguarding information (SIMS knowledge preferred). Support staff with administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and handling correspondence. Assist with arranging meetings, school trips, and managing school calendars.

Coordinate with external services and suppliers as needed. Support general office and school duties, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with school policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience in a school or busy office environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A high level of organisation and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); SIMS experience is a strong advantage. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. A calm, friendly, and approachable manner. A flexible and positive attitude towards work and change.
