Special Needs Educator

Special Needs Educator (SEMH) – Canterbury

We are currently working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in Canterbury who are looking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Special Needs Educator to join their team.

This role will involve teaching a small KS2 class of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, delivering engaging, structured lessons while supporting pupils’ emotional regulation, behaviour, and personal development.

• Teaching a KS2 class within a specialist SEMH setting
• Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
• Creating a safe, consistent and nurturing learning environment
• Working closely with support staff, SENCOs and external professionals
• Supporting pupils with behaviour management and emotional wellbeing

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
• Proven experience working with SEN pupils, ideally within SEMH settings
• Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building skills
• Calm, resilient and adaptable approach
• Passion for supporting children with additional needs to reach their potential

• £170 – £260 per day, Mon‑Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only
• Excellent on‑site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
• You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply – no Visa sponsorship
